Mobility in Ambérieu March 24 – travelling and weekend

After long weeks since the last mobility in Augsburg, Germany, and hours spent preparing for the next European adventure, March 8th finally arrived, and we were able to embark on our two-day trip to France for new experiences and adventures. The journey there was already a great adventure when we found out that due to the Deutsche Bahn strike, we would have to look for one more connection on the way to get to our destination. But today, when information is always at hand, we managed it just fine. The already above-standard good relations with our German partner school allowed us to make a trip that would otherwise have taken 24 hours more enjoyable by stopping in Augsburg, spending a pleasant afternoon with our classmates in their city and staying overnight with their families. For which we are very grateful. Rested, we were then able to set off together to visit our next partner school in Ambérieu-de-Bugey, France. The windows of our trains offered us an interesting view of the countries we were passing through. The variety and diversity could be seen not only outside but also inside the train. And even though the journey again took us 12 hours, we know that green travel is always worthwhile because it enriches lives through opening eyes and minds.

Erasmus mobilities present a variety of diverse activities related to work on project tasks, lectures by experts, group work, but also getting to know the country through the eyes of our hosts, classmates from partner schools. That is why every Sunday is a family day and dedicated to the time reserved for families and their guests, so that they could get to know each other better, the life of the host family, but also the environment in which they live. Some took advantage of their time together in the city of Lyon, which is only 24 minutes away by train, to visit its impressive historical monuments, others spent time at home playing board games or baking traditional crêpes suzettes, others visited galleries and museums. The time spent together helped to break down initial shyness and all sorts of barriers, paving the way for further adventures, this time in international teams.
