Our final day in Slovenia began early, with breakfast and a ride to school. From there, we visited the town hall, where the mayor warmly thanked us for being part of the Erasmus+ exchange and presented us with small gifts.
Next, we headed to Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana. After a 40-minute bus ride, we explored the city through an Actionbound challenge—a fun, interactive way to learn about local landmarks and history in small teams. Later, we visited the House of Illusions, a fascinating museum filled with optical illusions and mind-bending exhibits that left us amazed and laughing.
After some free time to enjoy lunch and buy souvenirs, we met for a relaxing boat tour on the Ljubljanica river. Sustainable powered by solar energy, the boat took us through the heart of the city while a guide told us about Ljubljana’s history and the animals living in and around the river.
In the evening, we returned to Cerklje na Gorenjskem for a farewell dinner filled with delicious food, music, and laughter. It was the perfect way to wrap up our time together.
This final day marked the end of an unforgettable week filled with new friendships, cultural exchange, and many meaningful experiences in Slovenia.
