The final day of our Erasmus+ week began in our school with a moment of reflection and creativity. Exchange students were welcomed with a special movie of our student-made tale about Duck Lake—a project our pupils had worked hard on. The video was a beautiful showcase of storytelling and teamwork. Following the screening, students participated in a Gallery Walk, where they explored the results and impressions of the entire week—from creative posters and scientific observations to cultural insights. It was a chance to look back and appreciate how much had been learned and shared.
Next, students worked in national teams to write letters to their local mayors, addressing the urgent issue of climate change. Slovak pupils wrote to the mayor of Banská Bystrica, highlighting how local governments can support environmental action. They proposed ideas such as expanding bicycle lanes, improving recycling systems, and increasing green spaces in the city. Each team, including Teams Augsburg and Cerkljes, shared thoughtful suggestions based on their experiences during the project.
Later in the morning, the group was formally welcomed at the town hall of Banská Bystrica. This reception was a meaningful moment, reinforcing the connection between youth voices and civic leadership.
Then it was time for action and exploration: students took part in a digitally guided Actionbound scavenger hunt through the city center. This interactive activity allowed both local and exchange students to learn more about the city’s history, landmarks, and hidden stories. ️ Team Augsburg even climbed the clocktower, enjoying a panoramic view over the city—a quiet and symbolic moment to reflect on the week’s journey.
The afternoon offered some free time for students to pick up souvenirs and enjoy the city one last time.
In the evening, everyone gathered at school for a joyful farewell party. There was music, dancing, games, and laughter—but also heartfelt goodbyes. After such a rich and inspiring week, parting was not easy. Yet, it was the best Erasmus party ever.
A day filled with reflection, civic engagement, and celebration – closing a week that brought together nature, knowledge, creativity, and friendship.
