Team Augsburg and team Cerklje were ready to go. The bags packed, the spirits were high. The journey led through Vienna , with a longer stop in Bratislava , including a guided city tour. Over lunch, everyone had the chance to enjoy their first taste of Slovak cuisine – a delicious introduction to the week ahead. A short walk through the historic city centre followed, full of charm and atmosphere. But the true highlight was a live performance of the traditional shepherd’s pipe – complete with a surprise techno remix encore. In the afternoon, the journey continued to Banská Bystrica, where the students were warmly welcomed by their host families – a heartfelt start to their Slovak experience and adventure full of new information and acts for the future of our planet.
