Mobility in Banská Bystrica 2026 – Travelling to Slovakia

A warm welcome: Reuniting with the Erasmus twins

Last Saturday afternoon, excitement filled the air as the students from Banská Bystrica eagerly awaited the arrival of their Erasmus twins. The tension and excitement were palpable – after months apart since the mobilities in Germany and Italy, they all couldn’t wait to reunite and showcase the beauty of their homeland.

For the German students and teachers, the adventure began at the crack of dawn, 5 a.m., at Augsburg’s train station. From there, the group embarked on a scenic train ride to Bratislava. Upon arrival, the group savored a meal at a cozy local restaurant before exploring the city’s charming streets and landmarks. After a brief but memorable stay, it was time to take a short bus ride to the airport, where the students and teachers warmly greeted the Italian peers. Together, they continued their journey to Banská Bystrica, where the families of the exchange partners welcomed their guests with open arms and hearts.
